I come from a long ancestral line of artists, dancers, musicians, and writers. Traveling and intellectual pursuits are woven into my DNA!

~My life at home in California revolves around my work in real estate sales, my good friends, and the fun of creating a beautiful home environment. And yet, the longer travels we have wished for, required some simplification and down-scaling of our lives. Although we lived in our house for 15 years, we had the “fun” of packing it all up, disposing of the unnecessary, or putting many things into storage. That house has been leased to a lovely responsible couple. We then moved into, and remodeled another house we had owned for many years as a rental. That was a two year project which was lots of work and design, and yet very satisfying to complete and sell.  See the post “To Insanity & Beyond”, and photos of that chapter are posted on “Vista Ave”. There should be a support group for people who move out of long term residences. It took us to our very edge in many ways! But now….freedom is beckoning! And we are about to lift our wings and fly.

~My friends are for life, and I have the good fortune to have some dear friends. Although we all live busy lives, I love gathering together when possible. One of my favorite social activities is the pleasure I get from preparing food and having dinner parties with old friends and new.

~I have been a Realtor for many years, and I love my work.  I have loved getting to meet and work with all kinds of people having their own adventures!  My clients appreciate my attention to detail and concern for their well-being as we go through the process of their transaction.  I also manage residential rental property, when home in California.

~ Home is where the heart is. Home is sanctuary, where we can rest and revive, and re-inspire ourselves and each other. Home, for me is as full of beauty and interest we can make it. These places shelter our spirits, and therefore our surroundings matter. I love all kinds of architecture and settings, color, texture, decor, landscape and light! Travel is an endless source of inspiration to bring home. And on another level, I am at home wherever I am. I love the simplicity of a backpack.

~I also really love cats, and I think I speak their language!  We have our own “wood-grained calico” cat, who is staying with friends while we are traveling.

…and when we travel, we try to visit with as many cats as we can, and take their photos. They are very hard to photograph…sometimes all I get is a blur..!
